Polish energy company Tauron Polska Energia has issued Eurobonds totalling €500m to help refinance the costs of developing and acquiring wind farms.
The bonds, which have a 10-year tenor and will be listed on the London Stock Exchange, will also be used to finance the group’s investments in distribution and for general corporate purposes.
The company said the bonds were almost three times oversubscribed with 30 investors eventutally subscribing.
Almost half the investors came from the UK, 14% from Germany and 11% from Poland, Tauron said.
The majority (83%) were asset managers, followed by insurers and pensions funds (12%) and the remainder were banks, it added.
