Swedish marine developer Wave4Power has signed up Norwegian fabricator Stryvo Group to make its full-scale wave device.
The production site of the so-called Next Generation wave machine will be the former shipyard at Fiskåholmen in the municipality of Vanylven on the Norwegian west coast.
“We are very pleased with Stryvo’s offer of a suitable production site and resources for our new wave energy system ‘Next Generation’,” said Waves4Power chief executive Ulf Lindelöf.
“We are ready to start production as soon as the ‘Next Generation’ leaves the drawing board and are aiming at spring 2018,” added Stryvo Group chief executive Jostein Boe.
