Danish turbine manufacturer Vestas has secured an order for 30 V110 turbines optimised to 2.2MW.
The company said the order for an undisclosed project in the US includes previously purchased PTC components and totals 66MW.
The deal includes supply and commissioning and a multi-year service deal. Delivery is planned for the third quarter with power due before the end of the year.
“Each turbine manufactured in this order will support 30 full-time jobs over its lifetime,” said Vestas.
“These turbines will be produced at our Colorado factories, generating economic benefits across a diverse and domestic American supply chain and supporting long-term jobs in Colorado and the project community,” it added.
