Scottish Equity Partners (SEP) has completed the acquisition of the 9.2MW Port of Tilbury wind farm from SSE.
The project, which comprises four 2.3MW Siemens Gamesa turbines with 80-metre hub heights, was commissioned in 2013.
It covers 50% of the electricity demand at the port, which is owned by Forth Ports Group.
SEP said it made the investment through its Environmental Capital Fund.
Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Siemens Gamesa provides service and maintenance for the turbines, while the Wood Group leads operational and financial management of the wind farm.
SEP infrastructure team principal Verena Rathgeber said: “Port of Tilbury is a high quality operating wind farm and securing this asset marks a significant milestone for the Environmental Capital Fund towards meeting its objective of owning and operating a platform of high quality wind assets across the UK and Ireland.”
