The first of five 6MW Siemens turbines has been lifted onto its floating spar foundation for the 30MW Hywind Scotland offshore wind demonstration project.
The lift took place at the port of Stord on the west coast of Norway.
The project site is located 30km off the coast of northeast Scotland.
Hywind, which is being developed by Statoil and Masdar, is scheduled to come online later this year.
