Iberdrola’s 21MW La Plana 3 wind farm has celebrated 20 years in operation, the first such facility in Spain to reach this milestone.
The company said the project, which is located in the municipality of La Muela in Zaragoza, has produced almost 950 gigawatt hours of electricity in that time.
It consists of turbines mostly supplied by Gamesa, Iberdrola said.
The company added that it has more than 5.5GW of installed wind power in Spain.
