Ailes Marines is deploying a second floating lidar buoy at its proposed 496MW Bay of Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm off the coast of Brittany.
The group – which consists of Iberdrola, RES and Caisse des Dépôts – said the second lidar will be located in the southern part of the wind farm zone.
In December, Axys Technologies deployed its WindSentinel floating lidar buoy for a minimum of 12 months to gather wind speed and direction data.
Adwen is lined up to provide 62 8MW wind turbines for the project.
