Eon has kicked off installation of transition pieces at its 385MW Arkona offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea.
Van Oord has subcontracted installation of the 60 Bladt-built TPs to Jumbo Offshore, which will use its Fairplayer vessel to tackle the job.
Earlier this week, Van Oord vessel Svanen installed the last 60 EEW-fabricated monopile foundations in water depths ranging from 23 to 37 metres.
The project site is located 35km north-east of Rügen island in the German Baltic Sea.
Arkona will consist of 60 Siemens Gamesa 6.4MW turbines and is slated to be fully commissioned in 2019.
