Barge Master and Bosch Rexroth are testing a new walk-to-work gangway for the offshore wind market.
The partners are putting the motion compensated system through its paces at Boxtel in the Netherlands.
An initial unit will be installed on a Vroon service vessel in the near future.
The partners said: “The latest technologies regarding electric and hydraulic motion control are applied and we make maximum use of the possibilities offered by the internet of things and Industry 4.0.
“This results in the highest reliability, lowest maintenance costs and the possibility to predict and subsequently avoid undesired errors or defects.”
