Professional services company Bureau Veritas has been chosen by Orsted to carry out certification services for an offshore wind farm.
The scope of the contract is to evaluate whether an assessment of the external conditions of the wind farm site have been “adequately undertaken and documented”.
The evaluation will be carried out in compliance with the international standard IEC 61400-22 wind turbines – part 22: conformity testing and certification, according to the contract announcement documents.
The work does not include geotechnics. However, an evaluation report and an accredited “conformity statement” following the requirements of IEC 61400-22 must be issued, Orsted – formerly Dong Energy – said.
