UK-based geotechnical engineering consultancy Cathie Associates has opened its first office in the US, as the emergence of the country’s offshore wind sector gathers steam.
The new office, in Boston, will be headed by new vice president Sean McDonald, who will also lead Cathie’s support of the oil and gas sector there.
The first US offshore wind farm, Deepwater Wind’s 30MW Block Island project, went live in December and many more are on the drawing board.
