DEME Group unit Tideway has chartered an accommodation vessel from Solstad Farstad for cable operations at the 396MW Merkur wind farm in the German North Sea.
The Dutch group said the charter of the Normand Jarstein vessel (pictured), which has accommodation for up to 86 passengers, is due to start next month.
The vessel will assist with pull-in operations and cable terminations for the project’s 73 inter-array cables.
Merkur will consist of 66 GE Haliade 150 6MW turbines and is planned to be completed by the end of 2018.
