UK company Rovco has won a three-year contract from Innogy to carry out subsea survey work at the 576MW Gwynt y Môr offshore wind farm off the coast of north Wales.
Rovco will deploy its sub-Atlantic Mojave remote operated vehicle (ROV) to conduct 3D visual surveys, as well as provide video, blueview sonar and cathodic protection analysis at the 160-turbine wind farm.
The surveys will form part of an inspection plan as part of ongoing maintenance at the wind farm.
Rovco chief executive and founder Brian Allen said: “Being awarded this three-year contract to support the Gwynt y Môr offshore wind farm demonstrates our growing reputation for providing clients with the most reliable and state of the art underwater inspection solutions based from smaller, more cost-effective, vessels and ROV platforms.”
