Danish shipping outfit MH-O&Co is to provide a trio of crew transfer vessels for Orsted’s 1.2GW Hornsea 1 project off Yorkshire.
Two StratCat 26 vessels and one newbuild 39-metre Fast Supply Cat from the company’s fleet will support offshore construction out of Grimsby between 2018 and 2019.
The shipping contractor said it holds options to extend the contract beyond its initial period.
“We are very pleased to have secured these contracts. They correspond well with our market focus and field of expertise,” said director Mik Henriksen.
Orsted will begin offshore building work at the 174-turbine project early next year.
