K2 Management has been hired to provide an independent technical and commercial advisory mandate for Innogy’s 860MW Triton Knoll offshore wind farm off the coast of Lincolnshire in the UK.
The scope of work includes reviewing and analysing project participants, design, construction, supply chain, installation and weather risk, grid connection, O&M strategy, permitting and approvals, environmental and social impact and quality, health and safety management.
K2, which has worked on the project since 2016, will also continue to provide support to the project as it progresses towards a financial investment decision (FID).
K2 Management global director Simon Luby said: “Working on the Triton Knoll project, set to be one of the largest offshore wind developments in the world, is an excellent opportunity to review, identify and mitigate risks with the project.”
The project is progressing towards a FID with full offshore construction expected to commence in 2020. First power is expected in 2021, K2 said.
Triton Knoll will feature a total of 90 MHI Vestas 9.5MW turbines.
