MPI Offshore has installed half of the 54 Senvion 6.2M-126 turbines on time and on budget at the 332MW Nordsee 1 offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
The project is being developed by Innogy and Northland Power and will be fully operational later this year.
It delivered first power at the end of March.
Nordsee 1 managing director Tim Kittelhake said: “In a football match we would now have reached halftime. However, at the Nordsee 1 wind farm, our work continues uninterrupted.
“We are already in full swing, working on the second half of the project. Turbine installation will continue in parallel with the progressive commissioning of the wind turbines.”
