Swedish developer Vattenfall will kick off formal public consultation next month for its 1.8GW Norfolk Vanguard wind farm in the North Sea.
The statuary consultation period will run between 7 November and 11 December, the developer said.
Vattenfall will also hold eight community engagement meetings for local people along the project’s 60km onshore cable route between 7–16 November.
The public consultation drive comes as Vattenfall looks to refine its plans for the project’s landfall site, onshore cable route and onshore substation.
Vattenfall will in late October publish a preliminary environmental information report outlining the latest thinking on the project design.
Current plans for the wind farm include between 90 and 257 turbines with capacity between 9MW and 20MW each and up to three offshore substations.
