Seacat Services has signed a three-year contract with the developers of the 336MW Galloper offshore wind farm off the UK’s Suffolk coast.
Crew transfer vessel Seacat Ranger will be deployed this month and will be joined in September by sister vessels Seacat Liberty and Seacat Vigilant.
This follows a separate two-year agreement signed in May with turbine supplier Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy for services at the wind farm, Seacat said.
Seacat said the CTVs will be used be to access both the offshore turbines and the substation.
Innogy is leading the development of Galloper, with other investors in the project including the UK Green Investment Bank, Siemens Financial Services and Macquarie Capital.
Installation of the 56 Siemens Gamesa 6MW turbines in underway and the wind farm is expected to be fully operational by 2018.
