Tidal Transit chartered its Ginny Louise crew transfer vessel to Reach Engineering and Diving Services (Reds) to carry out internal inspections of 20 monopile foundations at the 194.4MW Lynn and Inner Dowsing offshore wind farm off the UK east coast.
Reds was contracted by management company XCECO to carry out the inspections, which took 28 days to complete.
The Ginny Louise (pictured) sailed daily from Grimsby to the wind farm, carrying a team of seven divers from Reds plus two technicians and a site representative from XCECO.
Tidal Transit commercial director Leo Hambro said: “Becoming involved in this extremely specialised exercise has proved to be interesting and fulfilling for Ginny Louise’s crew members, who are more used to transporting technicians to and from wind farm sites.”
