The Carbon Trust’s Offshore Wind Accelerator (OWA) has issued a tender for companies interested in studying how sliding access in the offshore wind sector can be de-risked.
The main objectives of the work would be to assess current risks, mitigation methods and skills required for siding access.
The study would also aim to create a method for comparing vessel performance for sliding access and review systems available in the market or under development to support and de-risk sliding access.
Interested parties have until 6 October to ask questions about the project, with the closing date for tender submissions 11.59pm on 26 October.
Companies are also being sought for an OWA study to provide a reference document for “active fender systems”.
The main objective is to review and compile information on available and future active fender systems and characterise their performance.
Interested parties also have until 6 October to ask questions about the project, with the closing date for tender submissions 11.59pm on 20 October.
