Vattenfall has extended a maintenance agreement with Deutsche Windtechnik for the 288MW Dan Tysk offshore wind farm and contracted the German service provide for similar work at the 288MW Sandbank project.
The agreements cover maintenance for all steel structures at both with farms, which are located in the German North Sea.
Windtechnik said the new contract includes inspection, maintenance and repair of all foundations, transition pieces and internal cabling.
DanTysk/Sandbank head of operations for Vattenfall Christof Huß said: “Deutsche Windtechnik and Vattenfall have been cooperating successfully for three years on Dan Tysk.
“The trust relationship that has grown over time, our proven communication channels, working methods and structures, particularly in the areas of work preparation, logistics and project management, can now be put to good use to quickly and reliably advance the Sandbank project.”
