Windkraft Simonsfeld has started construction of the 22.4MW Kreuzstetten wind farm extension in Lower Austria.
The developer expects to complete groundworks by the end of the year, with construction of foundations and towers to kick off in March 2018.
Installation of the project’s seven Senvion 3.2M114 turbines featuring 114-metre rotors is slated for June and commissioning is set to begin in the same month.
Windkraft Simonsfeld’s first stage of the Kreuzstetten wind farm went online in 2008 featuring 13 Vestas V90 2MW turbines.
