Vestas has received an order for turbines totalling 136MW for an unnamed wind farm in the US.
The deal includes the first contract for V136-3.45MW machines, optimised to 3.6MW. The order also includes V110-2.0MW hardware.
Delivery is expected to start in the third quarter of 2018, with commissioning planned for the fourth quarter.
The order includes a multi-year active output management 5000 service agreement.
The project will consist of 47 turbines, including previously ordered units, and have a total capacity of 150MW, Vestas said.
Vestas president of the sales and service division in the US and Canada Chris Brown said: “We’re proud to announce our first full V136 order in the US, which underscores the strong fit and versatility of Vestas’ powerful 4MW platform in North America.”
