A subsidiary of Greenbacker Renewable Energy has acquired the 10.5MW Fossil Gulch wind farm in Idaho for almost $6.2m.
The project, which is located in Hagerman, sells electricity to Idaho Power Company under a 20-year escalating power purchase agreement that has approximately eight years remaining.
The project commenced operations in 2005.
Greenbacker has also bought 1252 operating residential photovoltaic solar systems totalling 8.917MW for approximately $6m.
The systems are located in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey and New York.
