French outfit Greensolver and German company Smart Blade are partnering to provide blade optimisation services for the wind industry in France.
The partnership will utilise Greensolver’s asset management skills with Smart Blade’s opmitisation solutions.
Under the terms of the deal, Greensolver is the only operator in France licensed to install Smart Blade’s Vortex generators on turbines.
The technology aims to reduce the “stall effect” in each turbine, the partners said.
Greensolver is also licensed to use Smart Blade’s numerical aerodynamic and wave effect analysis, data driven performance evaluation and blade inspection and repair services.
Greensolver chief executive Guy Auger said: “Partnering with Smart Blade allows us to enhance our capabilities as independent technical experts, providing our customers with exclusive solutions looking to minimise blade related risks, therefore enhancing production.”
