Swede Breeze hits Cape Verde

Developer Cabeolica has lined up Swedish outfit Greenbyte to deploy wind farm management software Breeze at four wind farms in Cape Verde.

Greenbyte’s system will manage sites on the islands of Santiago, São Vicente, Sal and Boa Vista under the deal, Cabeolica said.

“We found Breeze to be a very modern impressive system and very suitable for our needs. We are looking forward to using Breeze on a daily basis,” said Cabeolica technical manager Helder Andrade.

The developer said it generates 22% of electricity consumed on the country’s main islands.
