Siemens Gamesa has carried out a major top-tier shuffle including the replacement of long-time offshore wind head Michael Hannibal with industry veteran Andreas Nauen.
The merged German-Spanish manufacturing company said the revised set up, which also includes a new chief financial officer, would strengthen management.
It comes in the wake of unconfirmed reports of concerns from major clients including Iberdrola about the running of Siemens Gamesa.
Nauen, who previously worked with Siemens during its takeover of Bonus, will start as offshore head on 1 November
Hannibal “decided to leave the company by his own volition”, said Siemens Gamesa. He had been with the manufacturer since 2004.
Siemens veteran Miguel Angel Lopez will take over as CFO on 1 December, replacing Andrew Hall. The latter “has taken the decision to pursue other opportunities”.
Chief executive Markus Tacke said: “I am sure that we have the right team to drive the strategy of Siemens Gamesa towards a global leading position in the renewable energy field, while in the near term we stay focused on addressing the fundamental shifts in our business, realigning our operating model and continue to concentrate on our customers.”
