The state government of South Australia has opened a call for companies interested in participating in a A$150m (€100m) renewable energy fund.
The call is open to planned or existing renewables projects that aim to incorporate energy storage projects, bulk storage schemes such as pumped hydro, and bioenergy facilities produced by waste products.
Interested parties have until to 5pm local time on 28 September to apply, with successful applicants announced later this year.
The fund comprises A$75m in grants and A$75m in loans or other forms of investment or assistance for qualifying projects.
South Australia has already allocated a portion of the fund to a battery storage combined with a wind project currently being built by Tesla and Neoen near Jamestown.
South Australia Premier Jay Weatherill said: “We want to support innovative companies and entrepreneurs in a state that is nurturing cutting-edge technology.”
