Canadian Solar and EDF Energies Nouvelles have commissioned two solar plants in Brazil totalling 284MW.
The projects are the 191.5MW Pirapora 1 and 92.5MW Pirapora 3 facilities in the state of Minas Gerais and consist of almost 900,000 of Canadian Solar’s CS6U-P modules.
EDF EN holds a 80% stake in each project which it acquired from Canadian Solar.
The Pirapora 2 project is currently under construction and is expected to reach commercial operation in mid-2018.
