Germany’s IBC Solar has signed a power purchase agreement and secured around $15.28m of funding for its 20MW Odisha solar PV project in eastern India.
Power from the facility, slated to be operational by late 2017, will be purchased by the Solar Energy Corporation of India.
IBC solar was assigned the project as part of a 270MW tender process in the state of Odisha last year.
It has wrapped up negotiations with Indian investor L&T Infrastructure Finance for around 980m Indian rupees ($15.28m) of debt financing to support construction.
