Octopus Investments has brought a further 100MW of solar power assets into its refinancing portfolio, bringing the total size to 622MW.
The investor said its refinancing had increased to £564m following the acquisitions, up from £484m previously.
The new funding has been provided by banks that were already part of a syndicate financing the the portfolio.
The syndicate consists of nine lenders Banca IMI, Barclays, BNP Paribas, CaixaBank, The Royal Bank of Scotland, SMBC, AIB, Sabadell and Santander Global Corporate Banking.
Octopus head of energy investments Matt Setchell said: “Once again the Octopus team has delivered a landmark transaction in the renewable energy sector, pushing the boundaries of our industry by making Europe’s largest solar PV refinancing even bigger.”
Linklaters provided legal advice to Octopus, while Wood Group advised on technical issues and PWC on tax and accounting.
Ashurst and Operis advised the lenders.
