Vortex has completed the £337m refinancing of its 365MW UK solar power portfolio comprising 24 operational projects.
Santander and RBS were lead arrangers, with other lenders including Allied Irish Bank, Banco Sabadell, Caixabank, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, ING and Natixis.
International law firm Watson Farley & Williams (WFW) advised Vortex, which is managed by the private equity arm of EFG Hermes.
Vortex’s equity is jointly held in equal shares by EFG Hermes and Malaysian power company Tenaga Nasional.
The WFW team was led by partner Henry Stewart, supported by senior associates Katherine Best and Marianne Khoo and associates Emma Blake, Craig Bruce and Emmanuel Ninos.
Senior associate Charlotte Williams and associate Dan Sargeant also advised on the real estate aspects of the deal.
