Consultancy K2 Management has won a 12-month contract to deliver owner’s engineer services on the 181MW phase 1 of the Cutia Complex wind farm in Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil.
K2 was awarded the contract by Companhia Paranaense de Energia SA Copel after a public bidding process.
The scope of work will include responsibility for inspection of towers, blades, nacelles and hubs and supervision of installation and commissioning of 86 2.1MW WEG turbines.
The project is expected to be commissioned by the end of 2017.
K2 Management managing director in Latin America Hebert Nascimento said: “The wind market in Latin America is growing rapidly and we are delighted to secure this partnership with Copel and contribute to the expansion of its wind power generation in Brazil.”
