Zhongtian Science and Technology Group Ocean Engineering Company has signed an agreement with China Merchants Heavy Industry (Jiangsu) for two jack-up vessels and a crane ship for the offshore wind sector.
The two 600-tonne jack-ups will be capable of installing turbines and carrying out operational maintenance at offshore wind farms.
The vessels will be able to operate in areas with a sandy seafloor to a maximum depth of 50 metres and accommodate up to 100 people.
The non-self-propelled, full-swing crane ship will have a maximum lifting capacity of 1600 tonnes.
Zhongtian said the three vessels would allow the company to expand into international markets.
