China’s largest offshore wind turbine installation vessel has started operational trials, according to local media reports.
Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (SZHI) ship Longyuan Zhenhua 3 is carry out the trials off Nantong, Jiangsu Province, the reports said.
The vessel has a 2000-tonne lifting capacity and maximum lifting height of 120 metres for large turbines of above 6MW individual capacity, they said.
Construction of the vessel started in 2016 and was wrapped up in June this year, the report added.
