DNV GL has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Chinese manufacturer Goldwind International to develop software to optimise onshore and offshore wind turbines.
Goldwind International will adopt DNV GL’s asset management and maintenance software portfolio to support the development, installation, monitoring and maintenance of the Chinese company’s international wind projects.
DNV GL – Energy executive vice president Asia Pacific Mathias Steck said: “With Goldwind being one of the leading wind turbine manufacturers in the World, DNV GL is proud to support them in their international expansion, adopting novel technologies to increase asset performance and therefore efficiency of renewable energy generation.”
The MoU was signed during a Norway-China Partnership for Low Carbon Energy Transition seminar organised by the Beijing Energy Club.
