French technology company Sereema has deployed its Windfit system on five of the 80 turbines at the 400MW Global Tech 1 offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
The system will be deployed for one year to monitor blade and performance balance, as well as analysing yaw performance and evaluating the data collected.
The aim is for Global Tech 1 to combine the analysis with its own SCADA system to detect opportunities for performance optimisation.
Sereema chief executive Jerome Imbert said that this is the first time the Windfit system has been deployed offshore.
Global Tech 1 features 5MW Adwen turbines and has been operational since 2015.
