Innogy has become the sole owner of the 860MW Triton Knoll wind farm in the UK after acquiring partner Statkraft’s 50% stake in the project.
The German developer said it will now progress the project to a final investment decision due for mid-2018.
Innogy chief operations officer Hans Bünting said the company will “review all options” on the project’s future ownership structure “to maximise value for our company and our shareholders”.
The wind farm has a Contract for Difference from the UK Government and will be operational in 2021.
A total of 90 MHI Vestas 9.5MW turbines will feature at the site of Lincolnshire.
