Alterra Power is investigating the collapse of a turbine at its 204MW Shannon wind farm in Texas.
The company is working with turbine supplier GE to discover what caused the accident, an Alterra spokesman said.
“There were no injuries and no further damage to property,” he said.
The wind farm, which consists of 119 GE 1.71MW machines, was shut down for 24 hours while the rest of the turbines were inspected.
“The inspection did not find any issues with the other turbines and it was deemed safe to restart the wind farm,” the spokesman said.
