GE Renewable Energy is to deliver turbines totalling 91MW to Global Power Generation Australia’s Crookwell 2 wind farm in Australia.
Under the terms of the deal, GE will supply 28 3.4MW turbines with 130-metre rotors to the project near Goulburn in New South Wales.
The project is scheduled to be complete in September 2018.
It will supply electricity to the Australian Capital Territory, which has set a commitment to source 100% of its electricity from renewables.
Global Power Generation chief executive Lluis Noguera said: “We are thrilled to be working alongside GE and local contractors on a project that will significantly contribute to the energy transition underway in the Australian Capital Territory and throughout Australia.”
