Trinity Industries has received an order worth $940m to manufacture wind towers.
The US company expects to deliver the units over a three-year period starting in 2017, it said without giving more details.
“We are pleased to be awarded this long-term order that extends the backlog for our wind towers business through 2019,” Trinity group president William McWhirter II said.
As of March 31, the Dallas company had a backlog for wind towers of $263.4m.
