ContourGlobal, which owns almost 1.5GW of renewable capacity worldwide, is planning an initial public offering and to list on the London Stock Exchange (LSE).
The company was founded 12 years ago and has wind, solar and hydro assets, as well as more than 2.6GW of thermal capacity.
It expects that the admission to the LSE will occur next month.
Last year, adjusted earnings from renewables totalled $193.1m, out of total adjusted earnings of $440.4m.
ContourGlobal chief executive Joseph Brandt said: “A listing on the London market will support the company in the next phase of growth as we seek to double our adjusted EBITDA to more than $1bn within five years.
“The capital raised at IPO will enable us to strengthen our balance sheet while providing further flexibility to fund already identified growth opportunities.”
