Energy Infrastructure Partners (EIP) and ContourGlobal have completed the sale of Slovakia’s largest solar group to Central and Eastern European renewable energy producer Enery.
The portfolio comprises 32 operational sites with a combined capacity of 34.6MW, strategically located across the country.
EIP, which held a 49% stake on behalf of its clients, and ContourGlobal, which owned 51%, said the divestment follows a successful value-creation campaign involving regulatory adaptation and operational optimisation.
The companies improved asset performance amid evolving Slovak feed-in tariff and grid-access frameworks.
Zurich-based EIP said the sale reflects its investment strategy focused on decarbonisation, digitalisation and energy security.
ContourGlobal, part of KKR’s portfolio with more than 5.5GW of installed capacity, said the transaction aligns with its growing focus on renewable generation.
Enery will continue to operate and develop the assets to advance Slovakia’s clean energy transition.
