Ottar Maeland has been appointed acting chief executive of the Dutch subsea specialist DeepOcean.
He is currently chief operating officer at the company and will replace incumbent CEO Bart Heijermans on 18 November. The latter will remain with the company as a non-executive director.
DeepOcean chairman Terje Askvig said: “Ottar has been part of the DeepOcean family for over 10 years.
“We are confident that, thanks to his expertise and knowledge of the company and the markets we are operating in, we will continue to drive the positive future development of DeepOcean.”
