Siemens Gamesa has contracted Fred Olsen Windcarrier to perform transport and installation services at EnBW’s 112MW Albatros offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
The project, located 100km offshore and scheduled to commence in the second half of 2019, is slated to feature 16 Siemens Gamesa 7MW turbines.
Fred Olsen Windcarrier has been active in the region, wrapping up installation of the Veja Mate wind farm last week and helping at the Riffgat and Butendiek wind farms, in 2013 and 2015, respectively.
“This new contract will continue our strong relationship with Siemens Gamesa, emphasizing faith in our vessels and future collaboration,” said Fred Olsen Windcarrier commercial manager Martin Degen said.
