Shell Technology Ventures, Rockstart and Yes!Delft have launched a second New Energy Challenge competition for European start-up companies with innovative, low-carbon energy ideas.
The aim of the challenge is to accelerate the development and implementation of breakthrough technologies, with the winners receiving a €100,000 convertible loan and business advice from Shell for at least one year.
Companies have until 19 July to submit ideas.
Shell new energy business Manager for technology ventures Geert van de Wouw said: “During the coming decades, the world will need more and cleaner energy to meet growing demand.
“We believe in the possibility of a transition to a new energy mix, and that collaboration with start-ups and entrepreneurs will be essential to accelerating it.”
