PNE AG has reported a strong start to 2026 with higher earnings driven by project sales and improved wind conditions.
The company said normalised EBITDA rose to €17.9 million from €3.6 million, while revenue increased to €56.2 million from €27.9 million.
It added that total operating revenue reached €68.9 million compared with €55.7 million a year earlier, and EBIT improved to a profit of €3.2 million from a loss of €7.3 million.
In the first quarter, PNE sold four wind energy projects and one photovoltaic project and secured permits for 14 additional projects with a combined capacity of 335.9MW.
The project pipeline stood at 21.7GW at the end of the quarter, with 14.6GW in onshore wind and 7.1GWp in photovoltaic projects.
As of 31 March 2026, eight wind farms with a total output of 122.0MW were under construction in Germany, including four service projects with 59.0MW.
Power generation increased to around 262GWh from 197GWh, reducing emissions by approximately 198,000t CO2e compared with 149,000t CO2e previously.
The volume of contracts under operations management rose to around 3234MW from 3103MW at the end of 2025, with international business continuing to grow.
“We’ve made a good start to 2026. Project sales in particular, as well as better wind conditions compared with last year, have contributed to this positive performance,” said Heiko Wuttke, PNE AG chief executive officer.
“We’re also seeing initial successes from our transformation and cost-cutting programme, Focus & Deliver.”
PNE said it continues to advance its transformation and cost-cutting programme, focusing on wind energy onshore, photovoltaics and battery energy storage systems.
The company confirmed its full-year 2026 guidance, expecting normalised EBITDA to be between €110 million and €140 million.
“Our strong start to the year and the progress achieved across all segments give us confidence for the rest of the year,” added Wuttke.
