Varda Advisory has launched as a renewable energy consultancy backed by PEAK Wind.
The Scotland-headquartered firm will provide technical due diligence and insurance advisory services across offshore wind, onshore wind, solar and energy storage, the company said.
The business was founded by Nick Morgan, Matthew Irvine and Andrew Cole and has advised on almost 400 projects representing over 200GW of experience, it added.
PEAK Wind, a Danish renewable energy consultancy and asset management company, is providing strategic backing to the new venture.
Nick Morgan, founding partner at Varda Advisory, said: “The renewable energy market is maturing, but the technical and financial complexities of transactions have never been higher. We have created Varda Advisory to guide clients through the increasingly complex landscape with clarity and confidence”.
“Having worked together for many years, we know how to deliver as a team. With PEAK Wind’s backing, we are able to offer clients immediate capability, deep technical expertise, and the support of an established global business from day one.”
Nicolaj Mensberg, chief executive of PEAK Wind Group, said: “Varda Advisory represents a natural extension of PEAK Wind’s strategy to build a leading global platform within renewable energy across the value chain.
“Through Varda, we expand our ability to support clients across the full lifecycle of renewable energy investments while maintaining the independence and agility that specialist advisory requires.”
