Goldwind has signed a cooperation agreement with Ova Enerji for the Çayırlar RES project in Türkiye’s İzmir province.
Ova Enerji is a subsidiary of Genpa | Erdem Holding.
The 43.5MW project will combine wind generation with battery energy storage to deliver dispatchable renewable power to the Turkish grid.
Goldwind said the scheme will deploy five GWH182-7.5MW turbines and one GW165-6.0MW turbine alongside a battery energy storage system.
The company said the project is located in the Bergama region of İzmir.
Goldwind said the project is designed to enhance grid stability, improve capacity factors and support Türkiye’s renewable energy transition.
The company added that its cumulative installed and contracted capacity in Türkiye will exceed 1.2GW by the end of the year.
Goldwind said the GWH182 platform is also expanding across markets in South America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
