Qair has awarded an EPC contract to INTEC Energy Solutions for the 46MWp Brecks Solar Project in Nottinghamshire.
INTEC Energy Solutions said it will be responsible for the full EPC scope and provide operations and maintenance services for an initial two-year period with an option to extend.
Qair added that the project near Retford is expected to generate around 46.08GWh of electricity annually once operational.
The Brecks Solar Project marks Qair’s first solar project in the UK to reach construction and establishes a new collaboration with INTEC Energy Solutions.
The companies said the project will also include biodiversity measures such as the creation of a new pond to enhance local ecology.
Tom Darkey, managing director UK at INTEC Energy Solutions, said: “We are delighted that Qair has placed its trust in INTEC Energy Solutions for its first solar project in the United Kingdom.”
“This collaboration marks the beginning of a strong partnership, and we look forward to working together on future projects while continuing to support the UK’s transition toward a more sustainable energy future.”
Manuel Balseiro, head of delivery & finance at Qair UK, said: “We are pleased to be working with INTEC Energy Solutions on the delivery of Brecks Solar Farm, an important milestone for Qair in the UK.”
“Appointing an experienced EPC contractor is a key step in progressing projects into construction, and we look forward to working together to deliver Brecks safely, efficiently and to a high standard.”
